- Part-time Licensed Massage Therapist (1099 Independent Contractor) Journey Inn Eco Retreat & Forest Spa | Maiden Rock, WI Are you a skilled massage therapist looking for a peaceful, nature-inspired setting where you can focus on exceptional client care rather than a high-volume schedule?
We provide:
A beautiful, fully equipped spa treatment room All guest bookings and scheduling Massage table and equipment Professional linens (including all laundering) Massage oils, lotions, and supplies based on your preferences Marketing and client acquisition A supportive, welcoming environment Competitive per-service compensation All gratuities belong to the therapist No marketing, scheduling, inventory, or laundry responsibilities We simply ask that therapists leave the treatment room tidy and remake the massage table after each service. Position Details Independent Contractor (1099) On-call, as-needed scheduling Flexible availability based on guest demand Primarily evenings and weekends, with occasional weekday appointments Opportunity to work individually or alongside another therapist for couples massagesWe're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Licensed and insured in the State of Wisconsin Reliable and punctual Warm, professional, and genuinely caring Comfortable working independently A strong communicator Passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience Willing to collaborate with another therapist when couples massages are scheduled Committed to maintaining a calm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Journey Inn brand Preferred Experience Swedish Massage Deep Tissue Massage Prenatal Massage (preferred but not required) Experience working in a spa, retreat, or hospitality environment is a plus Why You'll Love Working Here This is not a fast-paced chain spa. Appointments are scheduled in advance, allowing you to focus on providing thoughtful, personalized care in a tranquil setting surrounded by forest, prairie, and nature. As an independent contractor, you'll enjoy the flexibility of accepting appointments that fit your schedule while we take care of the bookings, guest communication, marketing, supplies, and behind-the-scenes details. Your focus can remain where it belongs—providing exceptional care to every guest.
