Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked and ready for procedures. Support physicians during examinations and procedures by handing instruments, performing phlebotomy, performing ekg's, administering vaccinations and/or medications under supervision, performing eye exams, and managing specimen collection. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, processing medical documentation, and maintaining detailed medical records. Conduct basic diagnostic tasks including measuring vital signs, performing ICD coding for diagnoses, and assisting with physiology-related assessments. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols. Experience Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in Primary care highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding. Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and medical documentation is essential. Familiarity with phlebotomy procedures, medication administration, and medical assisting in diverse environments. Proven ability to deliver excellent patient service while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently in fast-paced healthcare settings.
