Certified Medical Assistant for busy physician's office. Duties include, but are not limited to: Triage and work-up of patients; Assisting with maintaining patient flow throughout the visit; Assisting with collection of drug screens and completing paperwork involved in collection appropriately (after appropriate training); Assisting with the return of patient phone calls and answering calls from patients during workday; Some filing; Float with others in giving injections, patient samples, dressing changes, etc.; Assist physician with in-office procedures at times; Stocking supplies in patient exam rooms; Assist with breath alcohol testing and paperwork required (after appropriate training).
Skills:
LPNs must hold a current unencumbered nursing license in the State of Alabama. Medical Assistants should have training and/or appropriate certificates. CPR certification is desired, but not required. Knowledge of MedConnect EHR is a plus. This is a full-time, day shift position with occasional overtime available. Office hours are 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday-Thursday, however clinical staff works until the last patient encounter is completed. Occasional Fridays 8:30 am - 12 noon.
