Perform phlebotomy and medication administration following established protocols to support diagnostic and treatment processes. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Support clinical procedures across various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine, including basic physiology and anatomy knowledge. Facilitate patient education on medications, treatments, and health management strategies to promote optimal outcomes. Manage administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, ICD coding for diagnoses, and documentation of medical encounters. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in inpatient or outpatient settings, including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center environments when applicable. Experience Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or specialty practices such as dermatology or urgent care is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical documentation practices. Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and physiology fundamentals necessary for accurate record-keeping and patient care. Experience supporting procedures in emergency medicine or hospital environments such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) or OR (Operating Room) is advantageous. Inpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances familiarity with complex patient cases requiring advanced clinical skills. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service are essential for success in this role.
