Join the Arkansas Pediatric Clinic Team Arkansas Pediatric Clinic is looking for a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to work alongside one of our wonderful MD's in our Maumelle clinic. This a 2 1/2 day position, but does have the opportunity to be full time. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, providing excellent patient care, and being part of a close-knit clinical team. Position Summary The Medical Assistant will work directly with an MD to support patient visits and day-to-day clinical operations. This role is responsible for preparing patients for their visit, assisting with clinical needs, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping provide a positive experience for our pediatric patients and their families. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working with children of all ages and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities Work directly with the MD to support patient care Room patients and prepare them for examination Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and patient history, vision screenings, and hearing screenings. Perform clinical tasks within training, certification, and applicable requirements Administer vaccines and medications as directed and permitted Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers Assist with prescription requests, referrals, telephone calls, and other clinical needs Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready for patients Follow infection-control, safety, and HIPAA requirements Assist the clinical team with maintaining an efficient patient flow Provide compassionate and age-appropriate care to pediatric patients Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant education, certification, or relevant healthcare experience preferred Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred Pediatric experience is a plus CMA/RMA certification is required Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable and able to work well as part of a team Comfortable working with children and their families Professional, positive, and compassionate approach to patient care The Right Fit We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of creating a positive experience for both the child and their family.
