Medical Assistant Medical Assistant Job Purpose:
Serves patients by taking vitals, reconciling medications, scheduling specialty appointments/testing, and performing multiple clinical functions throughout the course of a patient's visit.
Medical Assistant Job Duties:
Rooms patients timely to ensure an efficient patient flow Takes and enters all vitals, reconciles medications, ensures accurate phone and pharmacy information, and prepares refill prescriptions during each patient visit Ensures exam rooms are kept clean and in good repair Schedules specialty appointments/testing as ordered by the physician Performs PFTs, EKGs and administers injections Stocks exam rooms on a weekly basis In Laundry rotation with other clinic personnel All other duties as assigned
