About us Advanced Spine and Pain, LLC is a company has several locations all around Arizona. This position will be for our Avondale and Goodyear offices.
Our work environment includes:
On-the-job training Lively atmosphere As a Medical Assistant of our practice, you will be responsible for providing administrative and procedure room support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. While demonstrating positive attitude, actions and behaviors towards team members, patients, vendors, referring offices and all parties interacted with while providing quality service. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork which is congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations. Responsibilities Front and/or back office experience Organize, schedule, and prepare for appointments Interview patients and document basic medical history Update and file medical records and insurance reports Assist during medical examinations and pain procedures Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Ability to provide scribing services Consistently and accurately stocks examination rooms with all necessary supplies Assists in ordering and maintaining of supplies as assigned Reconciles encounters daily and accurately, according to policy guidelines Appropriately adheres to universal safety precautions when administering medications and disposal of medical waste. Demonstrates flexibility with various work schedules. Draw up medication for injections Assisting with procedures in a sterile environment Print PMP/Imaging and other documentation, preparing the provider for patient visits Proper documentation of patient calls and refill requests Post-procedure patient follow up EMR experience: (Care Cloud EHR) plus Willingness to cross-train and learn new treatment protocols/procedures DME dispense Medication prior-auth and appeals Urine drug screen
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Communicates & provides quality care Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned. Ability to multi-tasking and be detail oriented Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public. Knowledge of medical terminology and pain management procedures Work diligently throughout the day and use down time productively Willing to travel to multiple locations, if/as needed Pain management experience a huge plus. Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant, front and/or back office experience Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software Bilingual, not required but preferred Team player Understands and performs within scope of practice. Requirements Degree and/or certification in medical assistance Pain management and/or orthopedic experience preferred High School Diploma or GED Pay depends on experience
