401(k) Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off Medical Assistant - Dermatology Office Benefits/Perks Competitive compensation Professional and supportive work environment Career growth opportunities Hands-on dermatology, surgical, and Mohs experience Job Summary Advanced Dermatology Care is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. The Medical Assistant will support providers with patient care, clinical documentation, dermatologic procedures, Mohs surgery, pathology follow-up, and daily office workflow. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office. Prior dermatology, Mohs, surgical, or EHR \"EMA\" experience is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare patients, charts, exam rooms, procedure trays, instruments, and supplies for dermatology visits and in-office procedures. Room patients, obtain medical history, document medications and allergies, and assist with clinical documentation in the EHR. Assist providers with biopsies, excisions, Mohs surgery, wound care, suture removal, dressings, and other dermatologic procedures. Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain exam rooms and equipment according to office protocols. Track pathology results, follow up on pending reports, document results, and assist with patient notification as directed by the provider. Coordinate prescriptions, referrals, follow-up appointments, post-procedure instructions, and patient messages. Answer phones, communicate professionally with patients, and assist with general medical office duties. Maintain medical and surgical supply inventory and help keep the clinical area clean, organized, and efficient. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required. Experience with EMA EHR preferred. Dermatology, Mohs, surgical, or medical office experience preferred. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols. Comfortable assisting with procedures and working in a surgical dermatology setting. Dependable, professional, and able to work well with providers, staff, and patients.
