Front Desk Assistant Benicia Wellness Center's Front Desk Assistant provides a wide range of support to the company. The Front Desk Assistant ensures the smooth operation of Benicia Wellness Center by following Company policies and procedures and providing a high level of customer service to our patients. The Front Desk Assistant must have the ability to move seamlessly from task to task while demonstrating good communication, interpersonal skills, and optimal customer service. Although the focus of the position is clerical and patient driven, the Front Desk Assistant needs to remain flexible and be prepared to handle any job assigned to them by the Clinical Director. She/he supports the Clinical Director by providing information requested and working on special projects. Must be resourceful, an independent thinker, and self-sufficient as well as self-motivated. Front Desk Assistant Duties The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Answer phone calls with the ability to respond to questions regarding our office policies and procedures. Assist new patients in the completion of paper and electronic documents. Once completed, populate demographic information and the scan the Patient Intake form into the patient chart. Process medical billing, which includes providing patients with documentation for super billing to insurance and proof of service for other reimbursement methods. Maintain medical records. Take care of the functions that would be provided by a Human Resources Department. This includes onboarding new employees, record keeping, payroll, training, and providing required forms and information to employees to comply with all state and federal laws. Maintain knowledge of changes to employment laws that could affect Benicia Wellness Center. Comply with all HIPAA regulations and security measures and help to maintain compliance with all HIPAA regulations. Assist Clinical Director by providing documentation and reports as requested. Track product inventories and order products as directed. Work with the Clinical Director in the maintenance and alteration of office equipment and other items in Benicia Wellness Center. Perform administrative work such as typing, filing, and sorting. Prepare correspondence for patients as required. Assist with special projects or events as assigned by the Clinical Director. Performing other work-related duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

From $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
