The ideal candidate will have experience in various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting medical staff, and ensuring smooth clinic operations within a fast-paced environment. Candidates with expertise in geriatrics, internal medicine, or family medicine are highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work with EHR systems and gain comprehensive clinical experience across multiple specialities. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently Assist physicians with procedures such as medication administration, injections, Elevtroencephalogram, memory testing and alike. Support patient service activities by addressing patient questions and providing compassionate care Utilize EHR systems for documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and maintaining accurate medical records Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment for procedures such as X-ray or other diagnostic tests Support hospital or outpatient department functions, including clinic visits Assist with basic physiology and anatomy assessments to support diagnosis and treatment planning Coordinate with healthcare professionals on patient care plans. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as Basic Life Support (BLS). Requirements Valid Certified Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program Proven experience in the following is a plus but not mandatory, hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care, or emergency care. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration are additional pluses Experience working with EHR systems in diverse clinical environments such as Geriatrics and Internal medicine clinics Ability to perform clinical duties including vital signs collection, patient intake, and assisting with diagnostic procedures like X-ray or laboratory tests Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or OR experience are advantageous Ability to work effectively in outpatient settings without the high-pressure environments such as trauma centers or PICU units This position provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic healthcare environment committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
