Job Description
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Gardena, CA! This role is in person / onsite . Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:
Type:
Four-month contract, with opportunity for extension or full-time offerSchedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00PM Pay:
$20.00 to $24.00 per hour Responsibilities of theMedical Assistant:
Patient Intake & Clinical Support:
- Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms using ACE standard work.
- Record vital signs and document patient history in the electronic medical record.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians during visits.
- Administer injections as directed.
- Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and EKGs.
- Maintain quality control (QC) logs and ensure clinical documentation is accurate.
- Answer and return patient phone calls.
- Process paperwork, faxes, and manage provider in-baskets.
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with daily clinic operations.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic health record (EHR).
Medical Assistant:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Current Medical Assistant certification required.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
- Experience working in a primary care or outpatient clinic preferred.
- Knowledge of Epic EMR is highly preferred.
