Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and clinical Medical Assistant to join our Family Practice team in Southern California. The selected candidate should be well-versed in both back-office and front-office clinical workflows, patient triage, and preventative care. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth, efficient experience for our patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities Patient Volume:
Handle a high patient volume, safely and efficiently rooming an average of 20-25 patients per day.
Clinic Flow:
Maintain a high standard of clinical efficiency, aiming to room patients and initiate vitals within 10 minutes of check-in.
Clinical Support:
Assist patients and providers with clinical inquiries, prescription refills, lab results, and specialist referrals.
Back-Office Duties:
Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vitals, recording medical histories, administering injections/immunizations, and performing blood draws (phlebotomy).
Provider Collaboration:
Partner closely with physicians and mid-level providers to assist with minor in-office procedures, setups, and patient charting.
EMR Utilization:
Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen, or specialized EMR) for precise documentation and charting
Schedule:
M-F 8:00am-5:00pm PST (or 7:30am-4:00pm PST depending on clinic hours)
