This role assists with patient scheduling, chart preparation, authorizations, medical records, and care coordination. Key Responsibilities Schedule follow-up visits, imaging, laboratory work, and other appointments Prepare appropriate chart elements before appointments and procedures Coordinate the preauthorization process Act as a liaison between providers and patients Ensure required records and testing are completed before appointments or surgeries Update patients and staff regarding the timing and status of testing, treatment, and related tasks Maintain consistent patient flow and communication with Hoag and referring physician offices Travel between multiple locations or begin shifts at different sites as needed Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or at least one year of medical back-office experience Active BLS certification Basic medical terminology knowledge Basic keyboarding skills Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred Qualifications At least one year of medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system Working knowledge of Epic or another electronic medical record system Associate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field Bilingual or multilingual skills
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
