We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our clinical team and help us continue delivering excellent care to our patients and their families. Position Summary Kids 1st Pediatrics is seeking an experienced, full-time Medical Assistant to support our pediatric providers in a fast-paced clinic setting. The ideal candidate has a strong, consistent clinical background, is confident administering vaccines to pediatric patients, and is well-versed in VFC (Vaccines for Children) program requirements and vaccine inventory management. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday No weekends Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, growth measurements, and patient histories Administer vaccines to pediatric patients following current immunization schedules and clinic protocols Maintain VFC program compliance, including proper vaccine storage, handling, temperature logs, and documentation Manage vaccine inventory: ordering, receiving, rotating stock, tracking expiration dates, and reconciling records Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as directed Accurately document patient information in the EHR system Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, parents, and caregivers Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines Qualifications Minimum 3 years of consistent, recent clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (pediatric experience strongly preferred) Hands-on experience administering vaccines to pediatric patients Current VFC (Vaccines for Children) certification, or ability to obtain/maintain certification Demonstrated experience with vaccine management: ordering, storage, temperature monitoring, and inventory reconciliation Medical Assistant certification/diploma from an accredited program Current BLS/CPR certification Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for working with children and families Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team-oriented clinic environment Experience with EHR systems
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
