Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support to healthcare providers and ensuring exceptional patient care within diverse medical settings such as Family Practice, Women's Health, and Pediatric environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient service.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) in accordance with safety protocols. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), accurately documenting patient information, medical history, treatment plans, and ICD coding. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative documentation. Assist with laboratory procedures including specimen collection and processing for diagnostic testing. Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and post-care instructions while maintaining a compassionate approach. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient settings or emergency environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers. Support billing processes through accurate coding and documentation of procedures and diagnoses.
Requirements:
Proven clinical skills including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support certification. Fluent in Spanish is required Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR/EHR systems) management and medical documentation standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings. Excellent communication skills to provide outstanding patient service across diverse populations.

Up to $25.00 per hour
