Associate Director of Healthcare Operations or designeeTechnical/Clinical:
Licensed Independent Practitioner in consultation with the Director of Nursing Services or designeeQualifications:
1. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is preferred. 2. Completion of a secondary or postsecondary Medical Assistant education program from a public school authorized by the Department of Education, or an approved Medical Assistant program at a postsecondary institution accredited or approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. 3. Some previous experience working in psychiatric, mental health or rehabilitation facility is highly desirable. 4. Knowledge of special population patient needs especially with persons experiencing homelessness preferred. 5. Must demonstrate within ninety days of employment, competency in the usage of clinical equipment and Point of Care testing e.g. pregnancy test, urine dip, etc. Have knowledge of instrument sterilization procedures and process. 6. Must be able to travel to all NEVHC Health Centers as directed by the supervisor. Medical Assistant II- Behavioral Health/Psychiatric (Floater) must meet the following additional requirements: 1.

Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about health care and another patient/client information. 13. Ability to utilize electronic medical records effectively to intake and document patient information and schedule appointments. 14. Current California driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC's insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).
