The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of hands-on Medical Assistant experience in primary care, concierge medicine, or a similar clinical setting and is confident performing both clinical and patient-care responsibilities. This position requires a CMA who can work independently, stay organized, anticipate the needs of the provider and patient, and take ownership of tasks from start to finish. The right candidate will have strong clinical skills and understand that exceptional medical care includes not only performing clinical duties correctly, but also ensuring that every patient feels welcomed, listened to, cared for, and supported. Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities Perform clinical duties accurately, safely, and efficiently within the scope of the Medical Assistant role. Perform phlebotomy and independently draw blood with confidence and professionalism. Administer injections and other routine medications and treatments as directed. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medication information, and other required clinical information. Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments. Assist providers with examinations and in-office procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies. Follow appropriate infection control, safety, and clinical procedures. Ensure orders, results, medications, and other clinical information are appropriately documented and followed through. Recognize when information or patient needs require provider attention and communicate appropriately. Patient Care & Customer Service Provide a high-quality, patient-first experience at every interaction. Greet and interact with patients in a personable, professional, compassionate, and respectful manner. Make patients feel comfortable and confident in their care. Listen to patients and address questions or concerns appropriately. Clearly communicate information, instructions, next steps, and follow-up needs to patients. Maintain professional and positive relationships with patients, providers, and team members. Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times. Demonstrate genuine concern for the patient's experience and take ownership of helping resolve issues. Visit & Care Coordination Coordinate patient visits, procedures, referrals, testing, and follow-up care. Review charts and prepare patients and providers for upcoming visits. Ensure required information, orders, testing, referrals, authorizations, and other necessary items are addressed in advance whenever possible. Follow through on provider orders and patient care needs to completion. Monitor outstanding tasks and ensure they do not remain unresolved. Communicate with patients regarding pending items, results, referrals, procedures, and next steps as appropriate. Assist with maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. Work collaboratively with the front office and other clinical staff to prevent avoidable delays and provide a seamless patient experience. Teamwork & Clinic Operations Work effectively with providers, Medical Assistants, front office staff, and other members of the PMG team. Assist with coverage and support the team when needed. Adapt to changing clinic needs, schedules, providers, and workflows. Maintain organized work areas, examination rooms, supplies, and equipment. Help ensure the clinic is prepared for the day's patients and provider schedules. Communicate workload concerns or operational issues promptly and professionally. Take responsibility for assigned tasks and follow them through without requiring repeated reminders. Maintain productivity while continuing to provide high-quality patient care. Required Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required. 2-5 years of Medical Assistant experience required. Experience in primary care, concierge medicine, internal medicine, or a comparable clinical setting required. Must be independently proficient in phlebotomy and blood draws. Must be proficient in administering injections. Must have hands-on experience assisting with clinical procedures. Must be able to coordinate patient visits, procedures, referrals, testing, and follow-up care. Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and Medical Assistant responsibilities. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document clinical information. Strong organization, time-management, and follow-through skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be personable, professional, compassionate, and comfortable interacting directly with patients. Must consistently demonstrate a patient-first approach and provide a high-quality customer service experience. Must be comfortable communicating with patients regarding their care, appointments, testing, referrals, and next steps. Must work well as part of a team and willingly assist coworkers when needed. Must demonstrate reliability, accountability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a CMA who does more than simply complete assigned clinical tasks. Physical & Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and sit for extended periods during the workday. Ability to assist with patient care and safely perform required clinical duties. Ability to work in a busy medical office environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable healthcare regulations and PMG procedures. Education & Certification Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Current CPR/BLS certification required or must be obtained within the required timeframe. Additional clinical certifications or training are a plus but do not replace the required CMA certification and clinical experience. Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
