Ophthalmic Medical Assistant responsibilities include gathering patient medical history, conducting diagnostic testing, educate patients, helping patients with contact lens fittings, sterilizing instruments, explaining insurance benefits to patients, assist with minor in-office surgical procedures, in addition to effectively and efficiently communicating with patients, doctors, staff, and administration.
  • Medical Assistant education required..
  • Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology.
  • Requires 3+ years of medical assistant experience, preferably in Ophthalmology/Optometry.
  • On the job training will be provided.
  • We have 3 office locations and travel to other locations is occasionally required.
  • Requires proficiency in English and Spanish.
