Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and supporting administrative functions within a fast-paced medical environment. Experience in hospital settings, emergency medicine, or trauma centers is highly valued. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients during intake, ensuring a welcoming environment Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including X-ray or other diagnostic tests Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, ICD coding, and specimen collection Support patient service activities by answering questions and providing education on treatments and procedures Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) with precision and confidentiality Assist with basic life support and emergency response when necessary Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical equipment and work areas Support documentation of patient history, physiology data, and medical terminology accurately Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient, outpatient, or trauma center settings including Level I or Level II trauma centers, PICU, or Geriatrics units Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics; experience in dermatology or internal medicine is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical procedures Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray or OR experience are advantageous Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Emergency Medicine units Strong patient service skills with excellent communication abilities Ability to adapt to various clinical settings including inpatient wards like PICU or Geriatrics units Must have a professional attitude with attention to detail and confidentiality standards This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care across diverse healthcare environments while developing your skills within a supportive team.
