The successful candidate will support our neurosurgery, neuro oncology, movement disorder and our future dementia service lines. Work hours will be Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm but are subject to change based on the needs of the clinic. Medical Assistant primary duties will include but are not limited to: Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner Taking patient chief complaints Assisting physicians with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed Preparing medications for physicians to be administered by the physicians Obtaining prior authorizations for medications and procedures Maintaining medical supplies including samples

Requirements:

At least one year of experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical terminology Excellent customer service skills Electronic Medical Records proficiency, Cerner preferred The desire to work in a fast pace environment The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing

Educational Requirement:
