We are currently accepting applications for a Medical Assistantt with a minimum of one-year experience to join our team. Primary Medical Receptionist duties will include but are not limited to:

• Obtaining prior authorizations for diagnostic exams and referrals
• Scheduling diagnostic exams
• Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner
• Answering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without error
• Scheduling appointments
• Reviewing patient registration forms for accuracy and completeness
• Verifying insurances and requesting co-payments Primary Medical Assistant duties will include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for submitting referrals to insurance
• Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner
• Taking patient chief complaints
• Assisting physicians with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care
• Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed
• Giving vaccinations/injections, performing vision tests, audiograms, and

EKG's Requirements:

This role will include alternating weekends and holidays. Weekday shifts will be a mix of afternoons and evenings.

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant/receptionist preferably in an Urgent Care setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Electronic Medical Records proficiency; Cerner preferred
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing

Educational Requirement:

• One year of Medical Assistant Experience in a fast-paced environment
• A High School Diploma or GED
• A valid Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate
