Role:

The Medical Assistant - Float plays a critical role in supporting multiple healthcare facilities or departments by providing flexible, high-quality clinical and administrative assistance. The Medical Assistant will perform a wide range of duties including patient preparation, vital signs collection, assisting providers during examinations, and managing medical records. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of two years experience in a clinical medical assistant role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in multiple clinical settings or as a float medical assistant. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic. Additional certifications such as phlebotomy or EKG technician. Strong multitasking and organizational skills demonstrated in a healthcare environment. Experience with patient education and health promotion activities.

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical support such as taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations. Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures by handling instruments and supplies. Perform administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and managing correspondence.
