Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care by assisting providers in examination rooms
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Electronic scribing and recording of patient information
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
• Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining electronic medical records, and prior authorizations
• Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
• Provide excellent patient service and address patient concerns or questions

Skills:

• Proficient in performing patient care duties, including taking patient background information, collecting specimens, and assisting with procedures
• Knowledge of medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining electronic medical records, and MIPS documentation
• Ability to administer medications and injections accurately and safely
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a medical assistant training program or certification from an accredited institution preferred but not required
• Previous experience working as a dermatology medical assistant preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
