5 days/week Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:

Ability to evaluate patient needs, administer prescribed medications, assist physician with examinations and treatment, prepare and apply dressings, and instruct patients in health measures and self-care as instructed by the physician.

Knowledge of medical terminology required.

Ability to document and report findings and observations.

Ability to perform EKGs.

Ability to provide on-site emergency treatment within scope of practice.

Ability to complete a color blindness test.

Strong phlebotomy skills.

Must be computer literate.

Ability to interact and verbally communicate effectively with patients and all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous and effective manner with excellent customer service skills.

Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment with good organizational skills.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to work with general guidance.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS Certification

At least one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in Primary Care Office.

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
