Position Summary Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as an Adjunct OB Clinical Instructor within the Practical Nursing program. The instructor will provide clinical supervision and instruction to practical nursing students completing maternal-newborn rotations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, effective communication, and a commitment to preparing students to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care. Essential Responsibilities Supervise practical nursing students during obstetric and maternal-newborn clinical rotations. Provide instruction related to prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn nursing care. Promote safe clinical practice and ensure compliance with facility, program, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate students' clinical performance and provide timely, constructive feedback. Complete attendance records, clinical evaluations, and other required documentation accurately and on time. Reinforce classroom concepts and help students connect nursing theory with clinical practice. Maintain professional communication with students, faculty, program leadership, and clinical-site personnel. Participate in required faculty meetings, orientations, and training sessions. Immediately communicate student-performance or patient-safety concerns to program leadership. Serve as a professional role model and support a respectful, inclusive learning environment. Required Qualifications Current, unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse license. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution. Current BLS certification. Recent clinical experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, maternal-newborn nursing, women's health, or a closely related specialty. Strong clinical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to supervise students and maintain established clinical and academic standards. Ability to complete required clinical-site onboarding, health, background, and compliance requirements. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in nursing or nursing education. Previous teaching, precepting, or clinical-instruction experience. Experience working with practical nursing students. Familiarity with ATI resources and learning-management systems such as Blackboard. At least two years of recent maternal-newborn or obstetric nursing experience. Schedule This is a part-time adjunct position. Clinical assignments may include weekday or weekend shifts based on program and clinical-site availability. Applicants should be available for full clinical shifts and required orientation or training sessions.
