Job Description
Medical assistant Job Description We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Medical Assistant to support two clinicians within an on-site healthcare clinic serving residents of an Assisted Living and Independent Living Community. This individual will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while operating independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, self-sufficient, and confident in performing venipunctures on a geriatric patient population. In addition to technical competence, this person must possess an exceptional bedside manner, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust with older adults who may require extra patience, reassurance, and personalized attention. Responsibilities + Room and assist patients during office visits. + Perform blood draws and specimen collection. + Administer injections and medications as directed. + Call patients with lab results and provider instructions. + Process prescription refill requests. + Support patient access to concierge medicine technology and applications. + Manage medical records and document patient interactions in the EMR. + Coordinate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff. + Transport bloodwork specimens to the primary clinical location as required. + Maintain a high level of patient satisfaction and personalized service. + Support two clinicians with daily patient care activities and clinic operations. + Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent health information. + Conduct point-of-care testing and basic diagnostic procedures, including spirometry. + Accurately prepare, label, and process laboratory specimens. + Assist with care coordination, patient follow-up, and communication regarding treatment plans. + Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies. + Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations. + Foster a welcoming, compassionate environment for residents and their families. Essential Skills + High School Diploma or GED required. + Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. + Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) or Current/Active Licensed Practical Nurse. + MMinimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician office, primary care, internal medicine, or similar setting. + Proven experience performing venipuncture and specimen collection independently. + Experience working with geriatric patients strongly preferred. + Proficiency with EMR systems and basic clinical documentation. + Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Strong communication skills, including patient calls and emails sharing lab results.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Boca Raton, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
