Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient services. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and supporting administrative functions within a fast-paced medical environment. Candidates with hospital experience, clinic experience, or expertise in emergency medicine and Level I or Level II trauma centers are highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting that emphasizes patient service, clinical excellence, and teamwork.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties:
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Record vital signs and medical histories Assist physicians during examinations Administer injections and medications as directed Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens Clean and sterilize medical instruments Maintain exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of supplies
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments Verify insurance and process billing information Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
