Work Environment This role is based in our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in the scenic Bonita Springs area. You will be part of a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about patient recovery and wellness. The clinic provides a motivating atmosphere, equipped with the latest technology and tools necessary for effective rehabilitation. The physical therapist will work onsite, interacting directly with clients and supporting staff members within a collaborative team setting. Key Responsibilities Direct and implement physical therapy interventions aimed at reducing pain, restoring function, and enhancing the patient's overall health based on individualized care plans. Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities and design comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to meet specific orthopedic needs. Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions to ensure adherence to prescribed therapy techniques. Monitor and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans based on documented outcomes in collaboration with healthcare providers. Administer therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, functional exercises, and patient education on maintaining optimal health. Engage with clients and their families to discuss the therapy process, set realistic goals, and provide home-exercise recommendations. Document patient care accurately according to clinic policies, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Contribute to interdisciplinary case conferences, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with local and state regulations governing the practice of physical therapy. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, anticipating the needs of patients and addressing any potential hazards. Patient Population / Client Focus As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain conditions. These include post-operative care for joint replacements, sports injuries, and conditions like arthritis or lower back pain. You'll take a hands-on approach to patient care, delivering treatment that meets diverse needs while fostering a safe space for recovery and confidence-building. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred. State licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida is required, with certification from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee. A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is essential. Current CPR certification is mandatory. Preferred Experience While candidates with at least 2 years of experience are required, additional expertise in manual therapy techniques, specific rehabilitation protocols, or advanced therapeutic modalities will be considered an asset. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with assessment tools specific to orthopedic rehabilitation will also enhance candidate qualifications.
