We are a family urgent care office. We are seeking experienced Medical Assistants that will also be hands on with front office/back office and x-ray duties. We are looking for people that are positive, dependable, proactive, motivated, detail oriented and with the ability to work independently as well as with a team. We are looking for employees that really take initiative and are a 'go-getter' that can work under pressure. This position really supports the flow of quality patient care that is our top priority. MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- Perform selected nursing and administrative duties.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Take patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
- Administer injections and apply dressings as instructed.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
- Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and exams.
- Maintain patient files, records and other information.
- Work closely with the physician to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients.
- Perform direct patient care as instructed by the physician.
- Maintain equipment for use at all times, in a clean and safe condition.
General :
- Complete appropriate documentation on all patients examined.
- Maintain appropriate communication and good interpersonal skills with Supervisors, staff and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high quality service.
- Utilize formal channels of communication to report concerns, personal requests and patient issues.
- Report to work properly dressed according to the approved dress code.
- Adhere to guidelines concerning working hours.
- Manage time effectively to complete all patient treatments and related activities as assigned. Calling patients back regarding labs, out patient referrals, 3day call back, prior authorization and prescription refills.
- Maintain professional standards and procedures ensuring compliance with Company policies and with applicable regulations.

- Knowledgeable and ability to follow
OSHA/HIPAA
guidelines
Valid CPR, OSHA, and HIPPA Certification Job Type:
