Job Description

CCRH is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting our clinical providers and ensuring efficient patient care delivery. This position involves both administrative and clinical duties to help maintain smooth clinic operations and provide excellent patient experiences. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome patients and escort to exam room Obtain and record vital signs (BP, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, waist circumference) Perform blood draws, administer injections/vaccinations, and input medical information into EMR Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations; keep rooms neat, clean and well stocked Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information Assist the physician and medical staff with procedures and treatments Complete and document daily equipment checks and calibration Front desk duties: check-in/check-out, accept co-pays, schedule appointments, answer phones Experience with LabCorp Referral experience Experience with prior authorization process
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associate Degree is preferred Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. BLS Certification approved by American Heart Association Certified Medical Assistant (preferred) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (preferred) Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (e.g., assisting patients with mobility). Ability to assist with patient transfers and repositioning.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to infectious diseases and medical waste. Work near moving mechanical parts (e.g., medical equipment). Moderate noise level in clinical settings.
