Job Description

Pediatric Medical Assistant - Part-Time Whole Health Pediatrics |
Lakewood Ranch, FL Pay:
$23-$25 per hour, based on experience Whole Health Pediatrics is a small, concierge-style pediatric practice looking for a warm, dependable Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team. We provide personalized, relationship-based pediatric care in a calm and welcoming environment. Unlike a traditional high-volume office, we have the time to get to know our patients and families. Our approach emphasizes preventive care, nutrition, healthy habits, and lifestyle medicine. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who genuinely loves working with children and families and wants to be part of a small practice where their work and ideas are valued.
Responsibilities:
Welcome children and families and help them feel comfortable Obtain and document vital signs, growth measurements, and medical histories Prepare patients and examination rooms Assist the physician during well visits, sick visits, and procedures Perform blood draws based on experience and comfort level Process and prepare laboratory specimens Administer medications, vaccines, and point-of-care testing as permitted Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical areas Document accurately in the electronic medical record Assist with patient communication, scheduling, and general office needs Work closely with the physician and small office team to create an exceptional patient experience
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Current Medical Assistant certification Previous clinical medical assistant experience Excellent communication and organizational skills Warm, patient, and reassuring with children and parents Dependable, professional, proactive, and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently and assisting with both clinical and administrative responsibilities Reliable transportation and commute to our Lakewood Ranch office
Preferred Qualifications:
Pediatric medical assistant experience Phlebotomy training and experience Experience performing blood draws on children or adolescents Experience administering vaccines and performing point-of-care testing Familiarity with electronic medical records Interest in nutrition, preventive care, healthy habits, and lifestyle-focused medicine
Position Details:
Part-time daytime position Weekday hours $23-$25 per hour, based on experience Potential to become full-time for the right person as the practice grows
