Overview As a Medical Assistant, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of clinical activities while providing top-tier patient care. Under general supervision in an outpatient clinical setting, you will perform a variety of tasks, including initial patient triage, assisting medical providers, and executing routine medical procedures according to established protocols.
Multiple positions:
bilingual (English/Spanish),
English-only Responsibilities:
Provide customer service and foster a welcoming environment for patients and their families. Conduct initial patient triage and obtain patient histories. Ensure efficient patient flow, minimizing wait times and coordinating with providers. Assist providers with direct patient care and routine medical procedures. Stay updated on policies, procedures, and compliance regulations. Communicate patient results and follow up as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring exam rooms are fully stocked. Adhere to safety, environmental, and infection control protocols. Perform routine clinical tasks, including: EKGs Ear lavage Sterile dressing changes Nebulizer treatments Suture removal Administering immunizations and therapeutic injections Complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical training and certification (preferred) Employer conducts reference and background checks For bilingual position (English/Spanish) required to communicate with diverse patient population
Skills and Abilities:
Customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal) Knowledge of business office procedures and experience in Healthcare setting. Ability to work independently Time Management skills Problem Solving Skills Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with providers, patients, and the public Working conditions: Requires many hours in a sitting or standing position.
Work Schedule:
Full time/ 40 hours per week/ Day shift
Salary:
