We are seeking a full-time
CERTIFIED
Medical Assistant to work in our state-of-the-art pain medicine clinic in Newberry. The medical assistant will work under the direction of the physician and office manager.
Clinical duties include the following:
  • ASSISTING IN THE PROCEDURE ROOM, IN WHICH FLUOROSCOPIC IMAGING IS UTILIZED
  • obtain urine drug screens
  • measure and record vital signs
  • entering prescription data
  • setting up equipment for procedures
  • obtaining medication authorizations The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • valid American Heart Association BLS certification
  • optimistic, upbeat personality; excellent verbal communication skills
  • works quickly and efficiently
  • type > 50 words per minute
  • excellent written communication skills, including grammar and spelling
  • excellent attendance record
  • flexibility to arrive early and stay late as occasional circumstances may dictate (typical work hours are 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F)
  • pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen and would ideally have familiarity with Mac computers
CROSS-TRAINING TO ASSIST IN OTHER AREAS WILL BE EXPECTED.
