We are expanding our team and seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pain Management Medical Assistant to support our providers and ensure excellent patient care. Position Summary The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in both clinical and administrative duties, working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and office staff. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a caring demeanor, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Record patient histories, vital signs, and update electronic health records (EHR). Assist providers during exams, procedures, and minor in-office treatments. Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms and medical equipment. Administer injections, collect specimens, and perform basic lab tests (per training and certification). Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and provide instructions for care and follow-up. Handle patient phone calls, prescription refill requests, and medical record requests. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures. Support other administrative and clinical tasks as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant Certification required Previous experience in a medical office or pain management practice is a plus. Proficiency in electronic health records (AthenaHealth experience preferred). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinic.
