Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in patient care, medical documentation, and administrative tasks within a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining accurate health records to ensure efficient and quality healthcare delivery. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Assist with medical assisting duties including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting physicians during procedures. Manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information. Provide excellent patient service by greeting patients, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit. Perform phlebotomy procedures for blood draws and specimen collection following safety protocols. Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations. Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks as needed. Ensure basic life support (BLS) procedures are understood and can be implemented in emergency situations. Assist with other clinical tasks such as recording patient histories, updating medical documentation, and supporting overall clinic efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in medical assisting within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records effectively. Strong knowledge of patient service principles and excellent communication skills. Experience with phlebotomy and blood collection procedures. Ability to accurately document medical information and maintain detailed records. Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Knowledge of medical office operations, including appointment scheduling and administrative support. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$14.50 - $18.50 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
