Job Description

Position Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing routine clerical support to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's clinic facilities. The individual answers the Health Department's main switchboard and provides accurate information to callers; schedules and confirms patients' appointments, providing excellent customer services and assist the clinical staff with other clerical duties. The incumbent also provides direct primary care services' assistance to Tribal Members including triage of patients, performs full set of vital sign, and/or provides transportation.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or Certified Nursing Assistant program is required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a doctor's office/facility, primary care clinics, office setting or similar work environment is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Incumbent must possess current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Ability to speak the Creek and/or Miccosukee language is preferred. Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver's license. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all STOF's Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
