CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Motivated & enthusiastic full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with pleasant demeanor needed for our established Medical Practice in Athens, GA.

Duties include:

• Patient vital signs and gather medical history
• Enter accurate Patient data to EMR
• Schedule procedure appointments
• Draw lab specimens and test for hemoccult positive stools
• Triage/screening patient "sick" calls and other patient medical-related requests
• Data entry
• …as well as other tasks.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients/visitors
• Type a minimum of 40 WPM
• Comfortable using computer
• Good spelling & grammar
• Punctual
• Pass background check & drug screen
• Provide 3 professional references
• Experience in the Medical Field as Medical Assistant
• Certified as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a plus .
