Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting vital signs, medical histories, and current medications using electronic health record (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of their care plans Perform phlebotomy and medication administration following proper protocols to support diagnostic testing and treatment plans Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records, including ICD coding and detailed medical documentation Manage medical office operations including scheduling, maintaining medical records, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for inpatient or outpatient care Conduct patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and health maintenance strategies Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program is required Proven experience in medical office support with familiarity in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards Hands-on experience in dermatology clinics, hospital settings (including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center), urgent care centers, or emergency departments is highly desirable Competency in phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and patient service skills Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as inpatient units (including PICU or Geriatrics), outpatient clinics, or OR settings Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are a plus Embark on a rewarding career where your skills foster healing and comfort.
