Experienced Medical Assistant (MA)

Position Summary:
Alpha Internal Medicine is seeking a reliable and experienced Phone Medical Assistant to join our team. This role supports providers in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, obtain vitals, and document in EMR (EPIC) Assist providers with examinations and procedures Administer injections, immunizations, and perform phlebotomy as needed Manage patient flow to maintain efficiency and minimize wait times Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and basic administrative tasks Take inbound and out bound calls for patients and refill medication, make referrals and do prior authorizations for certain medication. Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of medical assistant experience (required) Experience in internal medicine or family practice preferred Strong
EMR/EHR EPIC
experience Excellent communication and organizational skills Be able to sit for 6-8 hours a day Strong Epic experience Must know how to do prior auth for medications Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
