Digestive Healthcare of Georgia is seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented medical office where providing excellent patient care is the top priority. You will become part of a collaborative team of 10 physicians, 8 nurse practitioners, and dedicated clinical and administrative staff who work together to provide quality care while creating a positive and supportive workplace. Required Qualifications Applicants must meet BOTH of the following requirements to be considered : Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant Must have worked in a back-office clinical setting within the past 6 months Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Update and maintain accurate patient records inEpic Obtain and document patient vital signs, weight, medical history, and medication changes Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms Process medication refill requests Enter orders as needed Complete prior authorizations as needed Coordinate and obtain cardiac clearances prior to procedures Respond to patient phone calls and MyChart messages in a timely and professional manner Assist providers and clinical staff with patient care and daily workflow Work collaboratively with team members to ensure patients receive efficient, compassionate care At Digestive Healthcare of Georgia, we value teamwork, professionalism, dependability, and excellent patient care.
