Job Description
SUMMARY:
Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and record information on patients' charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Type routine correspondence and reports from dictation or handwritten copy. Answer telephones, screen callers, relay messages and greet visitors.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
During Office Visits:
Review patient paperwork Take Vital Signs Perform Pill Count Confirm all sections of the chart Document all medications and changes Send Referrals as needed Send Orders as needed Schedule Next Appointment Check all open phone encounters at end of day Other tasks as assignedDuring Procedures:
Work the C-Arm Prep Patient Spray Cold Spray Apply Band-Aids Administer medication Clean the table/head pillow Save Images to USB Other tasks as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer skills preferred:
