The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative care team. This individual takes initiative, communicates proactively, and demonstrates the leadership qualities that reflect PREventClinic's commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. Prior cardiology experience is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document accurate, thorough clinical histories. Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures as directed. Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs per clinic protocol. Accurately document patient encounters in the EHR in real time. Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care instructions. Maintain clean, stocked, and properly equipped exam rooms. Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and administrative staff to keep the clinic flow on schedule. Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic compliance standards at all times. Support front or back office operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant. Cardiology or specialty clinical experience preferred, not required. Strong working knowledge of EHR systems and standard clinical workflows. BLS/CPR certification (current or willing to obtain).
