Join a winning team! Upson Regional Medical Center is a small hospital with a BIG heart! Our employees enjoy an environment where they can take care of patients with a high degree of quality and compassion. Patients get to experience top-notch healthcare with modern technology and a team with a focus of excellence for every patient, every time. Greets and assists all patients and/or customers who are present in the office. Put together daily patient charts. Obtains lab and referral information for physician review. Prepares patients for examination and assists physicians during patient encounters. Answers patient questions and educates regarding minor office procedures. Maintains medical records information for patient visits, other referrals, insurance pre-certification information, and billing. May work varying hours, as needed, including holidays. May be required to travel to multiple office locations. Provides friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient.
EDUCATION
Required:
High school diploma or GED•
Desired:
Medical Assistant Certification desired
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program or one year office practice experience Performing related duties.•
Desired:
Two or more years experience in a medical office or hospital environment.
