Job Description
Overview Join our wonderful OBGYN team as a Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Assistant, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patient care and clinic operations. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative and clinical tasks. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help streamline daily workflows, support medical staff, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule appointments, coordinate patient intake, and manage clinic calendars using electronic health record (EHR) systems eClinicalWorks. Verify insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle billing procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health insurance policies. Assist medical providers with clinical tasks including documentation review, care plan updates, and medical records management. Prepare exam rooms, assist during patient examinations, and perform basic clinical procedures under supervision. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensure proper filing of medical records, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Support administrative functions such as filing, data entry, inventory management of medical supplies, and handling incoming correspondence with attention to detail. Skills Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone etiquette and in person. Exceptional organizational skills to manage appointment scheduling, patient intake processes, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well with others. Familiarity with computer works. No prior medical training necessary. Perfect for someone who is looking to gain experience in the medical field. Will train on the job.
