Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth, efficient operations. Your energetic approach and commitment to patient service will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and valued. Whether working in outpatient clinics, hospital units, or specialized departments, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes through compassionate support and precise medical assistance. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) (Dr Chrono). Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to provide accurate data for diagnosis and treatment. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, including explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment, exam rooms, and treatment areas to uphold safety standards. Document patient interactions accurately in EHR systems Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, and coordinating referrals when necessary. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient or hospital settings; experience in dermatology, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology,and medication administration protocols (a plus) Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as X-ray tech or OR experience are a plus. Familiarity with hospital environments including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks including intake procedures, vital signs collection, and documentation accurately. Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient care and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
