Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Assistant (CA) is responsible for performing a variety of duties while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to deliver optimal patient care services and manage care within the framework of the Patient Centered Medical Home. The CA maintains an enhanced role within this model of care that promotes concepts of proactive team-based care, day to day operational and clerical duties for the clinical team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1. High School Diploma or equivalent education required2. A minimum of two (2) years experience working in a medical setting preferred3. Customer Service experience preferred4. Certified Nurse Assistant preferred5. Medical Terminology Required (Will allow up to 90 days from date of hire to complete)6. Current
BLS/BCLS
certification required (Will allow up to 90 days from date of hire to complete). Needs to be approved following AHA guidelines. Online certification acceptable if hands-on training completed and documentation can be provided to support (email from instructor, class roster or expired
AHA BLS/BCLS
card)7. Excellent reading, verbal, and written communication skills required8. Proficient in word processing, navigating through the internet and email9.
