Panhandle Health District (PHD) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Clinical Services team in Hayden, Idaho. The Medical Assistant (MA) at PHD supports clinical staff by performing a variety of essential clinical duties, assisting in the examination and treatment of patients. Responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the delegating provider and within the scope of practice for medical assistants, as defined by the State of Idaho.
Qualifications/Proficiencies:
Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred, but not required. Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification within six (6) months of employment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Working knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and clinical protocols. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy regulations. Ability to assist with clinical procedures, perform direct patient care duties, and support providers in delivering quality healthcare services. Flexibility to travel between clinic locations as needed to support operational requirements. Driver's license (Idaho or Washington). National Incident Management System (NIMS)/Incident Command System (IS)100, 700 within one (1) month of employment.
