Job Description

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Assist during medical examinations Administer prescribed medications and injections
IM, IV, SUB Q, Z-TRACK
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Assist patients to exam room, take vitals, get patients ready for doctor Return patient calls and phone or fax prescriptions (per dr's orders) Clean and stock exam room daily Laundry rotation Various other duties as needed Maintains highest level of confidentiality at all times Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, and going up and down stairs Will be exposed to potentially hazardous body fluids and chemicals, including needles and scalpels and understands the risk associated with and the disposal of these items Follow standard precautions, including using personal protective equipment Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Would prefer knowledge of e-clinical EMR operating system but not necessary Degree in medical assistance, does not need to be currently certified Need someone fluent in

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
