Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Travel Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide vital support to medical professionals across various clinical settings, including dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, and specialized inpatient areas. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate smooth patient flow, assist with medical procedures, and ensure exceptional patient service during travel assignments at diverse healthcare facilities. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and documentation of medical histories using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Support clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) protocols in accordance with facility guidelines. Must be able to do the blood draws, and has certification. Must be able to perform EKGs Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Maintain clinical supplies and equipment readiness; assist with inventory management and sterilization processes. Follow safety protocols related to physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and infection control practices to promote optimal patient care. Skills Strong knowledge of dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care procedures, and internal medicine practices. Proven experience in medical office management, medical assisting, and administrative support within healthcare environments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record keeping. Competence in phlebotomy techniques, vital signs collection, and medication administration. Ability to adapt quickly across different clinical settings including inpatient units like Geriatrics wards or OR environments. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred; prior hospital or trauma center experience highly valued.
