Job Description We are searching for a reliable Medical Assistant to perform various office and clinical duties within our very busy Pulmonary & Sleep practice. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to collect test samples, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations. Hours rotate between 8am and 6pm. Responsibilities and Duties Triage, conduct vitals Experience administering vaccinations and immunizations Complete paperwork and forms Check schedules and organize patient flow Accompany patients to exam room Assist patients as needed Prepare room for exam Collect patient history Perform screenings per provider guidelines Assist physicians with various procedures Chart; relay instructions to patients/families Answer calls Send/receive patient medical records Obtain lab/X-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc Complete forms/requisitions as needed Schedule appointments Insurance coverage verification Manage and update charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately Prescription Refills Ordering, sorting, storing supplies Restock exam/procedure room Perform other duties assigned Qualifications and Skills

KNOWLEDGE

Healthcare field and medical specialty, medical terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation, knowledge of

EPIC. SKILLS

Punctual. Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette, ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow, the ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.

EDUCATION

High school diploma, Medical assistant certification (Must provide proof at time of interview)
